Texas Stars

A Texas Star is five steel plates on the arms of a spinning hub. Shoot one plate off and the star goes out of balance and starts to turn; every plate after that is a moving target. It is the standard moving-steel stage in USPSA and 3-Gun, and the best single purchase for a range that wants a stage shooters come back for.

We stock Challenge Targets’ commercial-grade stars with 3/8" AR500 plates, their portable model that breaks down for a truck bed, the Supernova with 8" plates, and Top Tier Biz stars.

Which Texas Star do I need?

• Portable — a two-piece base and round plates; sets up in minutes, handgun rated from 10 yards.
• Commercial — a welded base and bearings built for daily range use.
• Rifle — ask; most stars are handgun targets and a rifle round will damage the arms.

Stars ship freight. Ranges and clubs get quotes on multiples and replacement plates.
