Which stand do I need?

• Paper target stand: a 2x4 base with uprights; the cheapest, and the boards are replaceable.
• Steel target stand: a hanger or chain-and-hook stand rated for the plate's weight; angle the plate down so fragments go into the dirt.
• Silhouettes and racks: a wide base with a low centre of gravity; the heavier commercial stands stay put in wind.
• Public ranges: welded steel with replaceable strike faces; ask about bulk pricing.

Most stands ship flat by parcel; the welded commercial bases ship freight. Ranges and agencies: quotes by the case.
