Which steel for which caliber?

• .22LR rimfire: rimfire plates, spinners and trees, sized for small calibers.
• 9mm, .40, .45 and other pistol calibers: 1/4" to 3/8" AR500; makers rate these for non-magnum handguns, most from 10 yards.
• 5.56, .223 and .308: 3/8" AR500 from 100 yards; 1/2" AR500 or AR550 for magnums and heavy range use.
